We Offer
What to Expect at your Retreat
We offer a multitude of activities, meeting spaces, comfortable accommodations, and delicious meals. Whether you’re holding a youth retreat, a marriage retreat, a men’s or women’s retreat, or a family reunion, we can help with all of the details.
Lodging
Black Rock has several different styles of lodging to choose from. Our hotel-style facilities can be found in the Maranatha Retreat Center. The Dogwood Motel and the Whip-Poor-Will Lodge have motel-style facilities. Our Bunk Cabins each have 10 beds in one large room with private indoor bathrooms. Groups can use one style of lodging exclusively for their retreat or spread out among different types of lodging.
Meals
Our carefully prepared buffet-style food is delicious, and we accommodate allergies as need be. A typical menu contains seasonal fruits and vegetables and looks similar to:
Breakfast: Eggs, bacon or Sausage, French Toast or Buttermilk Pancakes, yogurt bar with fresh fruit, sweet breads, and assorted cereals
Lunch: Tomato Bisque soup or Creamy Potato Soup, Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, Grilled Blackened Chicken Breast, sauteed fresh seasonal vegetables, salad bar, homemade cookies or mousses
Dinner: Our own slow roasted BBQ Pork or Beef Brisket, Stuffed Chicken Breast, Roasted Potato Medley, Fresh Steamed Seasonal Vegetables, salad bar, Sweet Yeast Dinner Rolls, Oreo Cake, Cheesecake, or Freshly Baked Pie

Facilities & Meeting Spaces
There are plenty of meeting space options for worship, prayer, teaching, and personal Bible study times. Meeting rooms are assigned based on group size and availability. We offer both indoor and outdoor meeting spaces.
Recreation
Black Rock provides numerous recreational opportunities for retreat groups to enjoy while they are on our property. We believe these resources allow people to connect with each other, develop deeper friendships, and help break down barriers to meaningful conversations and communication with other members in your group. These recreational options are available for our overnight retreat guests at no additional charge, except for the lake and pool.

Our retreat center in Pennsylvania is conveniently located near Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, New York City, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware. Only 30 minutes from Interstate 95 and 50 minutes from the PA Turnpike, we’re both secluded and easily accessible.
