Why Blast Summer Day Camp in Lancaster, PA?
Give your kids an unforgettable summer experience at Black Rock! Ideally located in Lancaster County, PA, Blast Day Camp can help campers connect with new friends and experience the natural world around them in a whole new way. Blast Day Camp is the perfect way to get your kids excited to be outside this summer with age-appropriate activities, daily swimming time, and more!
Our camp is conveniently located in southern Lancaster County, so your child can enjoy a secluded camping experience without having to go too far off the beaten path.
Day Camp Groups
Blast Day Camp offers three age groups:
- Pioneers for campers entering 1st-2nd grade
- Explorers for campers entering 3rd-4th grade
- Trekkers for campers entering 5th-6th grade.
Groups will have separate age-appropriate activities throughout the day and will be together for meals, swimming, and other large group games.
Each week runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm with extended care available from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm (additional cost). Blast Day Camps provide a variety of different activities to experience depending on age group and year. Your camper will have a BLAST!

10:00-10:35am: Playground & Snack
10:35-11:25am: Themed Activity 1
11:25-12:20pm: Transition & Lunch
12:45pm: Swim Time (M/T/W: Pool, Th: Creek, F: Lake)
2:30pm: Snack
3:00-4:00pm: Themed Activity 2
4:00-5:00pm: Free time & Pick-up
5:30-6:00pm: Late Pick-up (Additional cost)

Are you looking for something meaningful to do this summer? Are you interested in making some great friends? Black Rock’s all-new Jr. Servant-Leadership Team (JSL) program is a Christ-centered, service-oriented team for campers entering 7th to 9th grade.

Join Black Rock for our Soccer Day Camp for rising 2nd through 8th graders to have the chance to improve their soccer skills while cultivating friendships with their peers.
Blast Summer Day Camp FAQs
Yes! You may sign your camper up online.
Yes! You may sign your camper up for as many weeks as you would like.
When signing up, select the 3 Day (MWF) option when selecting the week of camp you want to attend. Partial week spots are limited.
Dropoff and pickup will both take place in the Nature Center at Black Rock, 1345 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, PA (see map here). Get Google Maps directions to our location »
For families looking for financial assistance, please check out our overnight summer camp program or check with your local church to see if they offer any sponsorship assistance.
Any amount paid above the $100 non-refundable deposit is refundable up to 14 days prior to the registered week of Day Camp. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 14 days of the registered week of Blast Day Camp.
Blast Day Camp is a camp program and does not qualify to be claimed as tax-deductible child care.
In the case your camper needs to be picked up early, an authorized person on the approved pick up list will need to pick them up. No refunds or make up days will be given for days missed.

Counselors participate in training sessions prior to the first week of Day Camp. Many counselors are certified in Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED for adults and children. All staff working directly with campers have background checks as required by Pennsylvania law.
Our ideal staff ratio is 1 staff for 7 campers. This number is adjusted as needed by the needs of a particular activity or group.
Pool, Lake and Creek time have lifeguards, but not all aquatic fun is lifeguard supervised.
When the weather does not permit us to be outdoors, the fun just moves to either a pavilion or an indoor space such as our Nature Center or Gym. Please check the weather and send your child with appropriate attire for the weather. This includes rain coats.
Most meals will be served in one of our dining halls with an emphasis on providing balanced options. If your camper has any dietary allergies or restrictions, please contact us.
