Growing in Faith

Today, our goal is to integrate a Christ-centered worldview into our entire program. Camp is an ideal setting for our well-trained, caring, quality counselors and staff to be positive role models of the Christian life as they relate closely to each camper.

Our summer staff are dedicated to helping our campers grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ in many ways, such as one-on-one time, devotionals, group worship, outdoor activities, music and singing, Biblical teaching, cabin discussions, and simply hanging out and talking! They love to serve God and serve our campers!

Meals & Lodging

Also known as a “sleep away camp,” campers sleep in dormitory-style cabin facilities, each with its own bathroom.

Three hearty, balanced meals are served each day, including two family-style meals served in the air-conditioned dining hall and one outdoor picnic for either lunch or supper.

Why Christian summer camp?

Christian summer camps promote spiritual growth through God’s word and provides an environment ideal for giving campers the setting to reflect and focus on their relationship with God alongside other Christians. This is an effective way to build a strong foundation for a life walking in God’s light.

How much does summer camp cost?

We offer a 3 tiered pricing system, which allows families to choose the price that best fits their financial situation. Visit our Pricing & Dates page for a breakdown of these tiers for each session.

Who are the counselors / staff?

The summer staff are the backbone to the ministry at Black Rock over the summer. We hire a team of fun, high energy, Christian leaders to share the Gospel with kids every summer and grow in their relationship with Him. We hire staff from the age of 16 and up, but most of staff are current college students.

Are you hiring for the summer?

Yes, and take this as your invitation to go ahead and apply!

Parents Say…

“I couldn’t have asked more. We truly are blessed to be able to send our child to such an amazing camp. The counselors were awesome. Our son felt very close to them as they had a lot in common. I couldn’t thank them enough! When you go pick up your child and his face has a smile ear-to-ear and he says, ‘This year was even better than last!’ you know as a parent, God is present.”
