Elderhostel

Elderhostel is an educational adventure for older adults (individuals 55 years of age and older) offering inexpensive short term academic programs.  College level courses, selected by Black Rock Retreat, are presented during the week along with interesting extra curricula activities.

Black Rock Retreat hosts nine to ten weeks of Elderhostel each year.   Past course selections have included studies on Amish and Mennonite Cultures, Stained Glass (a hands-on course), The Plain People of Lancaster County, and The Wonders of Creation.  Black Rock has also hosted an inter-generational Elderhostel, where Elderhostelers come and learn with their grandchildren.

For more information on what Black Rock Retreat is currently offering, or about Elderhostel in general, visit their website at www.elderhostel.org.
