Outdoor Education Days at Black Rock provide home school students age 6 & up with the opportunity to explore God’s creation through hands-on, experiential learning in the outdoors. Students will be divided into groups based on age.
Homeschool Outdoor Education
Join us for two and a half hours of fun, crafts, sports and more. This program will provide plenty of time for recreation and creativity and allow your student(s) to socialize with other homeschoolers!
Winter Days will be held on the following Tuesdays and Thursdays in 2024:
- Tuesday, January 23rd
- Thursday, January 25th
- Tuesday February 6th
- Tuesday February 13th
- Thursday February 15th
- Tuesday February 20th
- Thursday February 22nd
Program times are 1-3:30 pm.
Registration is due one week prior to the day you plan to attend and may be limited by available supplies. Payment in full is required when registering.
Winter Days for 4 to 7*-year-old students
Each day will include a story, craft, games, gym time, and other age-appropriate activities to encourage engaging and interactive learning experiences. This year we will be reading “The Story of God – Theolaby” series by Jennie Allen and the “Big Theology for Little Hearts” series by Devon Provencher. A non-sugary snack will be provided.
*Students must be potty-trained to attend this program.

Tuesday February 6th – volleyball/nuke em & coffee filter butterflies
Tuesday February 13th – volleyball/nuke em & confetti bookmarks

Tuesday February 20th – GaGa & Yarn Snowballs
Thursday February 22nd – laser tag & scratch art
Winter Days for ages 8 to 18
Each day will include an hour of gym time / team sports and an hour of craft or project time. If more than 20 students are registered, they will be divided into two groups based on age.

Tuesday February 6th – volleyball/nuke em & Tie-Dye **Each child should bring a t-shirt or other small item to dye. Items are NOT provided**
Tuesday February 13th – volleyball/nuke em & grid photo enlargement
Thursday February 15th – GaGa & pastel landscapes
Tuesday February 20th – GaGa & paper snow flakes and yarn snow balls
Thursday February 22nd – laser tag & God’s eye craft
Cost:
Each day is $15 per child and includes a take-home craft! ($5 of each session cost is nonrefundable)
Payment in full is due at time of registration. Refunds will be given for cancellations more than 14 days in advance. Within 14 days of program the payment is non-refundable. ($5 of each session cost is nonrefundable)
Parents are welcome to stay and fellowship with each other in our Nature Center while your student is participating in any of these programs.
