Home School Outdoor Education Days
Outdoor Education Days at Black Rock Retreat provide students age 6 & up with the opportunity to explore God’s creation through hands-on, experiential learning in the outdoors. Each day typically includes two Creation Exploration sessions, morning devotion, a hot lunch, and a take-home manual for each student. Children will be divided into groups based on age.
Looking for a solution to cabin fever over the winter season? Winter Dayz will be held every Tuesday & Wednesday mid-January through mid-February. Program times are 1-3pm and are designed for ages 4 and up.
Winter Dayz for 4-7*-year-old students
Each day will be centered around a theme and includes
- Games and other activities to get them learning and up and moving. When weather allows there may also be times of outdoor exploration.
- A non-sugar snack will also be provided.
*Student must be potty trained to attend this program.
Winter Dayz for ages 8 and up:
Each day will include an hour of gym/team sports time and an hour of craft or project time. Students will be divided into groups based on age so that they are playing sports with those of similar age and ability.

Outdoor Education Trips for Co-ops
If you are part of a co-op, your group can choose to participate in our one, two, or three-day Outdoor Education programs.
