Welcome To Family Camp!

Is your family looking for a new adventure this summer? We are pleased to be hosting our second annual Family Camp from Sunday, August 12th through Thursday, August 16th, 2012! This is a fully programmed event by Black Rock Retreat staff that will provide your family with a fun (and affordable!) opportunity to grow closer together in your relationships with each other along with strengthening your family's spiritual foundation. Family focused activities and input sessions will allow parents and children of all ages to share memorable times with each other while enjoying the 100 wooded acres of creation that the Lord has entrusted us with.

Families will stay in our air conditioned retreat center, each sharing a private room with one queen size bed, two single beds and a private bathroom. Our rooms are laid out similar to a motel style room except there is no telephone or television in any of our retreat center rooms to keep you from being distracted from why you really came! Family friendly meals are served buffet style and you and your children will have plenty of choices available to enjoy.

Our family input sessions will be led by Gordon Douglas, a pastor and comedian! Gordon's comedy mixes real life stories with "off the wall" physical comedy and his own hilarious view of life. He helps us see the funny things all around us and find joy no matter what we are going through. With genuine humility, honesty, and passion Gordon will weave life lessons into Family Camp of the things he's learned in the ordinary and often painful events in his life. His unique home ministry includes 5 children of their own, two prisoners under house arrest, a Downs-sydrome brother in law, several missionaries, and a few other boys they took in. In fact, in July 2009, Gordon and his wife Dawn were named "Parents Of The Year" for the state of PA!

Pricing:

The cost for the entire retreat is only $150.00 per person (adult or child 6 and above) with a family maximum of $550.00 per room reserved. This price includes all lodging, meals and program activities! We encourage each family to use just one room which will keep your maximum cost for the week at $550.00.
