Bathhouses with hot showers, a full course dinner meal and rider and bike transportation back to Black Rock Retreat will be available at the ride destination.
The BR2RB 125 mile Bike-a-Thon is a one day ride starting from the grounds of Black Rock Retreat in Quarryville, PA and ending at Camp Arrowhead on the shores of Rehoboth Bay, DE! The route travels through some rolling terrain in Southern PA and into Maryland. The route then flattens out in Delaware and remains that way until the end of the ride. Most of the route in Delaware is a designated bike route which makes for an enjoyable ride. Riders proceed at their own pace, with the majority of riders finishing within nine hours or less.
50 or 80 Mile Riders
A bus will drop off riders 80 or 50 miles away from Rehoboth Bay and the riders will begin their journey from the drop off point that they choose. 50 and 80 mile riders will also have rest stops available to them and medical and repair support. They will also join the 125 mile riders for the celebration dinner and have return transportation available.
NEW THIS YEAR! 145 Mile Ride to Fenwick Island, DE
If you’ve previously cycled 125 miles and are looking for a different challenge, make Fenwick your new destination for 2017. Riders will begin their journey at Black Rock Retreat with the 125 mile riders. At the fifth food stop, these riders will follow an additional 20 mile route ending at Fenwick Island State Park, DE. Bathhouses with hot showers, a full course dinner meal and rider and bike transportation back to Black Rock Retreat will be available at the ride destination.
Again This Year!
With many participants riding at different levels we will be offering the option to take an earlier bus that will leave Camp Arrowhead between 3-4pm or a bus that will leave at 5:30pm on Friday and Saturday.
