Jr. High Winter Camp Speaker: Jeff Pilger

Growing close to God through meaningful relationships and service opportunities as a teenager inspired Jeff Pilger to begin exploring a life of ministry. Volunteering with Children’s ministries and leading school Bible studies were a few things that would eventually lead him to the missions field where he first felt the call to ministry.
Jeff served as the pastor of student ministries at Journey Christian Church for 10 years. His focus on The Gospel, the Cross, relationships and discipleship connected him with students, their families and other local church leaders.

Jeff’s heart continues to be for the spiritual, familial and emotional health of students as well as encouragement and support for ministers and their families. In 2016 he took a position as Director of Encouragement and Care with INFUZION, a ministry that provides ministry support, creative events and experiences to the local church. In his new role, Jeff is reaching out to young leaders who are experiencing difficulty as they navigate and balance ministry, family, faith and emotional health.

Jeff lives with his wife and hero, Asia and their two kids Allison and Liam in Rochester, NY. He is a self-confessed geek who likes computers, comics, Star Wars, and games like “Catan”, “Ticket to Ride” and “7 Wonders”. He works as a Teaching assistant in a math class at a special education school where he enjoys serving alongside his work family meeting the needs of trauma-affected teenagers.
